Physiotherapists specialize in treating movement and motor disorders, as well as functional deficiencies and impairments, and adapt their techniques to each patient.<\/p>

He uses specific techniques (massage, stretching, restraint, neuromuscular relaxation, application of electric currents, cryotherapy, balneotherapy, pressotherapy, etc.) adapted to each patient, to mobilize or stimulate damaged or altered tissues or muscles, and to perform corrective or compensatory neuromuscular rehabilitation.<\/p>

The physiotherapist must take into account each individual's physical abilities and requirements. An elderly person will take longer to recover than a young person. A top-level athlete will need to recover for the next competition.<\/p>

The physiotherapist gives practical advice on how to sit, carry loads or move around.<\/p>
