How to get to the Servette Physio Center

Physiotherapy in a nutshell

The physiotherapy (also known as masso-kinesitherapy) is a health discipline that helps to develop, maintain and restore movement and functional capacity throughout life. Physiotherapists provide tools when movement and function are threatened by causes such as aging, injury, pain or disorder.

The different fields of physiotherapy

Geriatric physiotherapy

The aim of geriatric physiotherapy is to maintain the independence of older people on a daily basis and to support and improve their quality of life and that of their environment.

Orthopaedic physiotherapy

Orthopaedic physiotherapy deals with the treatment of dysfunctions of the skeletal system and its associated structures such as muscles, tendons, ligaments and fascia.

Neurological physiotherapy

Whether it's a stroke, multiple sclerosis or Parkinson's disease, patients with neurological disorders need a rehabilitation programme that focuses on their individual and daily activities.

Cardiovascular and pulmonary physiotherapy

The aim of cardio-respiratory physiotherapy is to improve or maintain patients' cardiac and respiratory health using manual or instrumental techniques, as well as physical exercise.

Paediatric physiotherapy

Paediatric physiotherapy specialises in children's motor development. It ensures that the child's movements are harmonious, without asymmetry or compensation.

Sports physiotherapy

Physiotherapy plays an important role in the development of a professional athlete's career. Sports physiotherapists prevent and treat injuries related to the intense impact that the body undergoes during elite sport.
